I just wanted to add to Jean's information on Holy Communion Wafers that are
'low' in gluten.

In the UK, the Coeliac Society says there is a place in England that makes
completely gluten-free Communion Wafers, baked under the approval of the
Archbishop of Liverpool.

They are available from:

Monastery of Poor Clares Colettines
Mossley Hill
Liverpool L18 3ES
UK

and

The Carmelite Monastery of the Holy Ghost
Helenske Road
Dumbarton G82 4AN
UK

In terms of payment, all it says in the Coeliac Society's handbook is: "A
donation to cover the cost of the wafers would be appreciated." I would assume
you should also send an international reply coupon, so they don't have to pay
the postage. Or, just write first for details.

Good luck...
