Several months ago, I posted a question about how doctors monitor CD
in children. I got a variety of responses, which I did summarize to the list.
To report on our personal experience: Our 3- yr old was diagnosed in
April. Today we had our first follow-up visit with the pediatric
gastroenterologist. They measured her (she has gained 10 pounds and
grown about 4 inches), and felt and listened to her belly. They drew
blood to check for antibodies and anemia, and told us that if those tests
are ok, they don't ever need to see us again! Hooray!
