Listmates – Sorry that it took me so long to summarize, I was a little
overwhelmed by the number and variety of responses.

3 of you sent recipes – I wont reprint them here (not sure of the
copyright restrictions), but if you email me I’ll send them.

2 suggested heating the corn tortillas to use as a wrapper – my specific
request was for FLOUR tortillas. I already use corn tortillas and they
don’t make good wraps, nor are they a good sub when you WANT a flour
tortilla.

1 person suggested trying to find La Banderita brand corn tortillas –
they are easier to wrap – Again, if I was interested in corn tortillas I
would’ve said so.

5 people suggested Bette Hagman’s recipe. The only problem with her
recipes is that she uses so many ingredients that I can’t really use for
anything else. I don’t have room in my pantry for 16 types of flours and
additives! If I have a chance, I’ll try hers over the Christmas
vacation.

1 person wanted to know where to buy a tortilla press (Amazon.com)

2 people gave me links to recipe sites. (thank you)

8 people asked me to summarize, they wanted the same information I did.

1 person said they never found one they liked either. Please post one if
I find it!

1 person said that Kinnicinnick is working on both a flour tortilla and
pita bread.

1 person suggested getting Azteca corn masa (I can’t imagine why, that
has NOTHING to do with my original request!)

2 people use the Chebe bread mix without the added cheese…and also use
it for wrapping around hot dogs! (Thanks, I might try that)

1 person said to use Bette Hagman’s recipe but to thin it out like crepe
batter and make it like a crepe. This might work too!

1 person said to use rice flour chapattis. I don’t know what these are,
but I’ll ask around.

1 person said to add bean flour to the masa to make them more
pliable…again, I’m not USING masa, I want to make FLOUR tortillas, not
CORN tortillas.

1 person said that Mona’s were the best.

1 person suggested I post my request in another GF forum.

And finally, 1 person said that their company had a mix and we’ve been
corresponding. If this pans out I will let you all know.

I had over 30 responses…thank you all.
