More research on booze:

It seems in the production of wine, the last process is called fining. Fining reduces the particles in the wine. A binder of various ingredients is used. Woodbridge uses a caseinate. Frey uses bentonite (a clay). Some may use some ingredient that contain gluten.

I have contacted some companies about their production. I have not found one that contains gluten yet, however

Wine-Frey (sulfite-free), Yellowtail, and George Du Booeuf are GFCF.

  Wine-Woodbridge is GF, not CFEggF

  Gin-Tanqueray is not GF

Below are responses from the WJDeutsch (distributor for Yellowtail, George DuBoef and some others) and Tanqueray.

I wrote to Jose Cuervo, too. I don't want the party to stop with my strict GFCF diet!!

  Dear Lorraine,

No, we do not use casein either in fining our wines.

  Liza-

Thanks for your quick response. How about casein? Are any products containing casein used in the production? I heard some casein products are used in fining.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding glutens in
beverage alcohol products, specifically Tanqueray.

In reply to your email all Tanqueray products begin with the same
neutral grain spirits, which is derived from wheat. Consumers with
wheat
or gluten allergies should avoid this kind of product. Once again,
thank
you for contacting us, and we hope the information provided has been
helpful.

Sincerely

Chris R.
