Well - the resounding response is have myself a big time at the
hairdresser!!!  It seems a lot of people fair just fine with perms/colors.
Most folks mentioned Loreal as their product.  Others noted that as long as I
didn't eat it I would be fine.   My husband has DH so I check everything in
addition to food and I know the last hair color I had made me sick and lo and
behold it had wheat germ in it - MATRIX brand - although someone told me that
she had found one MATRIX color that did not have the wheat germ.   I will get
the perm and hold on the color until I find one that might be more 'natural'
- oh yes someone even told me Kool aid.  might try that -what the heck.

Speaking of hair - there is an old Italian wives tale to use vinegar on your
hair to help with dandruff  - I used apple cider vinegar and it felt great
and really boosted it.
