Hi List Mates,
Thanks to everyone for the great suggestions about my GF trip to New Orleans.
Based on all of your suggestions and my experiences here is my summary:
1) Crazy Lobster - great for lunch. Very knowledgeable and accommodating staff. Before I even ordered the server said: "Just let me tell the chef that you're here".
2) Emeril's - Amazing ambiance - but I was surprised at the lack of options (especially as his daughters are GF) Still the chef made it work and I had a great, but very pricy, meal.
3) Dragos - Lots of GF options. Very knowledgeable staff. Great value too.
4) Acme Oyster House - The biggest surprise of all. We sat at the (very loud) bar. The bartender knew everything that would be safe and he made sure to deliver it personally. Great GF service in what I thought was a dive bar.

When I got home I was inspired to make GF Shrimp Etouffee with a a GF roux. It is possible.
Thanks everyone.
