To everyone who responded to my desperate plea for help with the article on how foods and additives affect children's behavior, thank you. I appreciate the time each one of you took to write me, and especially, to share your stories. I received probably 50-60 responses.

Many of you asked when and where the article would appear. It will appear in Children's Voice magazine, a bimonthly published by the Child Welfare League of America. I spoke with my editor and he expects it to run sometime during the first half of next year--most likely during the first quarter. I will try to get an electronic copy of the story up on my website. If I am able to do so, I will post a link to the list.

If you're interested in seeing the hard copy of the story when it appears, your best bet is to subscribe to the magazine--I think it's a very good one which targets that tricky mid-range between professional journals and the average parenting magazine. It's appropriate reading for anyone with an interest in children: parents, doctors, judges, foster care people, social services workers, etc. Here's a link if you're interested: http://www.cwla.org/pubs/pubdetails.asp?PUBID=P301 Note: From what I understand, Children's Voice is available only by subscription--I haven't seen it on any newsstands, though you might check with your local library to see if they have it.

You can read more about the Child Welfare League of America here: http://www.cwla.org/whowhat/

Again, thanks to everyone who wrote in--it's obvious that this is a topic of interest to many of us!

Warmly,
Chris Hansen
