Seems with all the news articles, radio shows and
TV news segments - not to mention the 10 minute
segment on the TODAY Show in August - there are a lot
of new celiacs. They are finding the listservs and the
most often asked question is: " What the heck do I
eat?!?!?!"

There's no escaping the fact you'll have to cook
more often. You'll most likelly want to learn to bake
your own bread and make your own pizza crust. But that
doesn't answer the question of what to eat the first
month after diagnosis while you're still trying to
figure out this new life stule!

Well, here is a list of foods from you local
grocery store ( a few specialty mail order ) that will
feed you for the first month and give you the
breathing room to figure out the rest:

- Pastas: Bi-Aglut ( found at glutino.com )
- Bagels: Glutino ( found at glutino.com )
- 'All-purpose-flour': Schar-B ( found at glutino.com)
- Pasta sauces: Classico ( your local grocery )
- Soy sauce: La Choy - Lite ( your local grocery )
Take it to your favorite Chinese take-out place and
ask them if they will use it for your order - ours
does! So, we can still order our favorites Chinese
  food!
- Tortillas: Mission White Corn (your local grocery)
- Jell-o brand, plain flavors
- Yoplait, custard style yogurt
- Kraft American singles
- EDY's ice cream ( the plain flavos )
- Juice: Dole 100% Juice ( in carton )
         'After the Fall' brand
Minute mai juice box ( for the kids )
Libby's Juicy Juice ( for the kids )
- Hero brand jams
- Valbreso feta cheese
- Lea & Perrinw Worsestershire Sauce
- Old El Paso taco shells
- Kraft Marsmallows
- Nestle - Nesquik hot chocolate mix
- Utz's potato chips ( the plain ones )
- Green Mountain Gringo tortilla chips
- Mott's apple sauce
- Gluten Free Pantry - Chockolate truffle brownies
- Dole Friut Bowls ( fruit cup for the kids )
- Kitchen Basics Chicken or Vegetable Stock
- Sargento Pizza Cheese
- Hormel Pepperoni
- Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard
- Old El Paso Green Chiles
- McCormick Fajitas seasoning mix
combine with water, a little olive oil and a can
of the Old El Paso green chilles. Pour over the top
of a 2-lb chuck roast, cover and bake in the oven
at 200-F for 5-6 hours! You get a great tasting
shreaded meat for fajitas, or just eat plain!

And some GF friendly chains:

- Outback

- Boston Legal Seafood
