Hi All--

Several months ago - maybe at least a year ago - someone posted to the list that there was some evidence that pinto beans contained a property that very closely resembled the gluten protein, thus causing gluten-type reactions in some celiacs. I hope I have the correct bean, here...I've searched the archives, but can't come up with what I'm looking for. Does anyone remember this? And if so, would you please contact me?

Thanks.

Words are things; and a small drop of ink
Falling like dew upon a thought, produces
That which makes thousands, perhaps millions, think.
-Lord Byron, (1788-1824)
