Don,
You can get chesnut flour at Dean and Deluca, down in SoHo. I see from your
address that you're in Tribeca, so it's not even that far a trek for you.

It's very expensive, but kept in the fridge should last a year.  Chesnuts have
the property of being the only nut that are low in fat, if anyone cares about
