My six-year-old son is in the process of being diagnosed with Celiac
disease. (He's had a positive blood test but no endoscopy yet.) The
diagnosis was a total surprise to me because he hadn't really been sick.
(The original test was taken when he had Scarlet Fever and no one knew what
his problem was, so we tested for just about everything we could think of.
As soon as he got antibiotics, all the complaints went away, and I was
astounded to get the positive test for CD a few weeks later.)

The only new thing we've experienced is that over the six-eight weeks he has
been experiencing a loss of bladder control--especially during the day. He
says he just doesn't feel the need to urinate before it is a done deal. It
seems to go in phases--for a few days he'll wet himself a couple of times a
day, and then it will go away for a while.

We haven't started him on a GF diet yet because we need to wait until we see
the specialist (and probably get the endoscopy). This won't be for another
few weeks.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips? I don't want to traumatize the
poor little guy any more than is necessary, and this is just no fun for
anyone.

Thanks in advance--
