This is the first time I have ever written to the "list" so please excuse any
mistakes or incorrect protocol.

My daughter (age 3) has CD. I am pregnant again and am wondering about
genetic testing. I never had a reason to think of this with my first
pregnancy. We do not have any incidence of CD (that I know of) except my
daughter and no incidence of Down's Syndrome in my or my husband's family. I
have seen over the last couple of months a few mothers writing to the list
who have children with both CD and Down's Syndrome. Are these two diseases
common together or was this just a coincidence? I would be so appreciative
of any information on this. I am just 2 weeks pregnant and have not seen my
OB/GYN yet. I will of course, ask her about this, but would like to know
something before that.

Thanks,
Kimberly
