thank you all for the helpful info: Janet of the celiac support group in
Houston sent this list - of   course you have to ask what's in a lot of stuff
and use your common sense but generally these are popular with celiacs in
Houston. Chipotle, Luther's BBQ, Le Mistral, Ruth's Chris Steak House, Dawat
Indian - has GF lentil bread, Rodizio Grill (Brazilian - has that good manioc
bread, like Chebe), Molina's Mexican, Ashiana Indian - lentil bread,
McCormick and Schmick's, Thai Choice has GF soy sauce, Gill's BBQ.
and from others - 4 Whole Foods locations, Outback, P.F. Changs, and Luby's.
I don't think we'll starve!!!
