I just received the Spring Update/Independence Blue Cross Newsletter and
there is an article titled"Celiac Disease Can Harm Digestion" on page 9.
Included is the fact that the latest thinking is that Celiac disease occurs
in almost 1 in 150 Americans. It is encouraging to see a health insurance
company recognizes the need for testing. Early diagnosis and compliance with
the GF diet saves the insurer from costs that ensuing health care would
incur. Hopefully this will help get the word out.
