I second all that has been said about eating sushi (yum) GF but am wary of
miso soup.  Most of the packaged miso mixes I've seen in Asian groceries
list wheat starch or processed food starch as ingredients.  I haven't done
an exhaustive survey.  Our local Japanese restaurant uses a paste that is
not certifiably GF, alas.
