There is a brazilian steak house (churrascaria) - fogo de chao. If you like meat, fogo de chao is a great place. call them just to make sure but the other churrascarias that I have been to have all had plenty gluten-free stuff besides the meat. hope this helps.

All Legal Seafoods there is one near the convention center has a GF menu.

I can't say enough good things about The Helmand, an Afghani restaurant. www.helmand.com/ . It's near Hopkins which isn't far from the Harbor area. They understand celiac and cross contamination and were able to control for my dairy and soy allergies.
--------------------------------------
We do not have a restaurant, but we do have a pastry shop. We invite you to check out our website at www.TenzoArtisan.com. We are located in Federal Hill, on the other side of the harbor.

As far as restaurant options, there is a Legal Seafoods and a PF Changs, both of which offer GF menus, in the Inner Harbor area.

I've eaten many times at the Mughal Gardens Indian lunch buffet just north of Mount Vernon Square on Charles Street with minimal interrogation and not had a problem so far. A Triumph Indian dining card might be useful - the male waiters don't cook and the cooks probably don't speak English.

I've had good luck with the Donna's at the corner of North Charles and Read Street, right on the north end of Mount Vernon Square. The chef adapted a sandwich into a salad for me when I explained what I was trying to avoid.
Donna's is a local started-as-a-coffeeshop-and-morphed-into-a-cafe/restaurant-chain.

Other, pretty easy to find parts of town -

There's an Austin Grill http://www.austingrill.com and Outback Steakhouse in the Can Company complex on Boston Street in Canton, east of the Inner Harbor past Fells Point. Both restaurants have gluten-free menus.

There's a Capital Grille downtown on Pratt Street, right by Filene's Basement and Best Buy before you get to President Street. I'm told they also have a gluten-free menu.

I eat lunch almost every Saturday at Helen's Garden http://www.helensgarden.com on O'Donnell Square in Canton. No gluten-free menu, per se, but the food is made in-house and the kitchen staff is knowledgeable about ingredients. I've never had a problem. They're closed on Mondays.
