Instead of a September meeting, the Milwaukee Celiac Sprue-Crew is encouraging its members to attend the 2012 WI GF Expo.

This is the 3rd year for this unique event and the first time it's being help on our side of the state. The first was held in Minoqua (NW WI) and it traveled to the Madison area in 2011. And since Wisconsin covers a huge area, it might be a while before it gets this way again.

It's also a chance to check out Washington County Fair Park & Conference Center & surrounding area. To the south is Cabella's, a huge sporting goods store. With displays of mounted game and aquariums of live fish, this is great place for non-celiac family members to explore after dropping the GF ones off at the Expo. It's also not far from Holy Hill Shrine/Bascilica...Saturday Mass is at 4:30 pm. www.holyhill.com

Email me for a map! [log in to unmask] There is road work on Hwy 60 between Hwy 41 and Hwy 45. The Washington County Highway Dept advises those coming from north on HWY 41 to take the Hwy 33 (West Bend) exit, then pick up Hwy 45 (south to Milwaukee) in West Bend. (Hwy 45 is a north/south road. Fair park is about half way between Hwy 33 on the north (West Bend) & Hwy 60 on the south (Slinger/Jackson).

Also of interest, Dr. Rodney Ford has two speaking engagement scheduled in Wisconsin next week in Madison & Ripon. Dr. Ford hails from Australia and his 30 years of experience has made him an expert in gluten sensitivity, a spectrum of disorders that also includes celiac. Information on that at www.gigofecw.org

MCSC will have a table at the Expo--Stop by & introduce yourself!
