Well, here it is folks!! I asked the question about the nut thins because
I suspected my husband and I both were reacting. Here are the results:
7 people said they eat them with no problems;
1 additional person who eats them said that they know MANY people who eat
them with no problems, and who also knows that Blue Diamond nut thins are
produced on their own lines;
2 people avoid them because of possibility of cross-contamination;
5 people said they ALWAYS make them react;
1 person prefers Lundberg Rice Crisps instead;
One person in particular said that "BDNT have caused gluten reactions for
PLENTY of people, some have not reacted and feel angry when others raise a
red warning flag about them, but they are CLEARLY NOT GF, and are just not
made with
gluten ingredients. It is not likely that a facility that
produces both items can produce any gf items, regardless of how machinery
is cleaned."

One person wrote a lengthy response: "A long time ago, I was told by the
makers of nut thins that if I had a 'severe case' of CD that I shouldn't
eat them. I had ordered a case of them and discovered that instead of GF,
as advertised, they were marked 'no added gluten'. They refunded my money
and told me to give the crackers to friends! The phrase 'no added gluten'
is a lawyer's phrase which I assume is the company's protection from a
lawsuit based on the fact that contamination is a real possibility for
which they take no special precautions. I consider them unsafe for
celiacs."

SOOOOOO, IT LOOKS LIKE I WON'T BE EATING THEM ANYMORE--I CAN'T TAKE A
CHANCE OF LOSING BACK DOWN TO 96 POUNDS AGAIN!! Hope I haven't made anyone

unhappy with me for sharing these results. I just want all of you to get
well!!
