I ran across a product recently that I had not seen mentioned on this list
before, so thought I would share this with you. It is useful for lots of
things, and I have been using these rice crumbles in a mixture with rice
flour to make a coating or batter to go on chicken breasts, fish filets, and
ground turkey so far. The website says it is good on vegetables too, but we
haven't tried that yet.

This company also sells brown rice flour on their website. I found it to be
a finer grind than what I can buy locally, and the price is right.

I called the owner of Chef De-Vere to verify that it is truly gluten free
and there is no chance of cross-contamination. He assures me it is. No
other kinds of grains are processed in their facility. Take a look at their
website at http://www.leajanes.com/chef/products.jsp . There is also a
phone number where you can call in and order. It is 601 566-5691, but that
is not on the website yet.

Have any of you used these rice crumbles? If so, I would like to hear how
you have used them. I will summarize. Tonight I plan to use it on oysters,
and can hardly wait! I plan to roll the oysters in it, and then saute in a
pan with a little bit of olive oil. That was very successful with the turkey
patties, chicken breast, and fish.
