Dear Fellow List Members,

I have been experiencing a "salty mouth" for over 9 months. My
doctor sluffs it off with, "Don't worry about it. Just drink more water."
I wonder, though, if this is related to my Celiac or a sympthom of
something else that I should be concerned about.

It is the worst when I wake up in the mornings. It actually seems
like I have been sucking on a teaspoon of salt all night. I experience
the salty mouth during the day,as well, but not nearly as bad. Maybe this
is because I'm drinking liquids and speaking...and probably so busy that
I'm not thinking about it as much. I must admit, my daily intake of
water probably isn't what is should be, but I do have other liquids and I
know other foods contain wter as well.

Is this something others on this list experience? Is this just
part of being a Celiac that I have to put up with. Or, is there something
else here that perhaps I should ask my blaise doctor to look into.

I am a 49 year old Celiac who has been GF for 3 years. I suffered
for appoximately 15 years prior to being diagnosed. I have recently been
diagnosed with Rosacea, tho I don't know that there would be any tie-in
with that.

Thank you kindly for your help. I will summarize responses to the
list.

Nina :)
