Hi Everyone,

I had so many responses to my posting regarding Rich
Gannon being on the news here discussing Celiac
Disease. I had many requests for further information,
so rather than answering each of you individually, I
will post it here. First of all, I tried to come up
with further info on the CBS website and I couldn't
bring up past news. If any of you can, please let me
know. The site is http://www.wroctv.com/
This news segment was on the early evening news at
5:00 pm EST on Monday, July 31st. Maybe this site will
lead those of you interested in a transcript in the
right direction.

The doctor on this news segment from the University of
Maryland Research center was Dr. Alessio Fasano. He
indicated that a cure could be on the horizon. He
stated that it would be in the form of products to
prevent the intestines to react the way it does to
grains. So, let's keep hoping and praying that this
answer will come soon.

At the end of this news segment, they indicated for
further information to call: 1-800-492-5538 or
website: http://www.celiaccenter.org/
I believe both of these are associated with the
University of Maryland Research Center.

I hope this helps.

Take care,
Laurie
