We use a rice wine imported from China. The English name of the
wine is "Shaoxing rice wine". I'm wondering if there is any
reasonable chance that this product might not be gluten-free.
There are a couple reasons I'm suspicious: First, it is about
the same color as soy sauce. I would expect rice wine to be
clear. Second, I don't trust the labels of products produced
in that part of the world (I've seen plenty of cases where
the label was clearly wrong). This particular product lists
"rice wine, salt" as the only ingredients.

I'm new to the gf diet and trying to look for possible sources of
gluten I might be missing. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
