Dear list mates,

I am having a dental check-up tomorrow and I just contacted the
manufacturer of the dental pumice that my dentist uses. They indicated that
the mint and cherry flavors are nor safe because they contain ethyl
alcohol. My first question, I thought ethyl alcohol was derived from corn?
Does anyone know anything about this, is it always derived from corn? Also
does anyone know whether ethyl alcohol is distilled alcohol? Is it always
distilled? If so then it sounds like the dental pumice would be safe.
Thanks for any speedy answers.
