I have received a written reply from Kikkoman to my query re their soy sauce
and other products. According to Elaine T. Beatson, Manager, Consumer
Services, their soy sauce is brewed naturally from wheat, soybeans, salt, and
water. "Although it does not contain gluten, the amino acids that make up
gluten are present. Furthermore, many of our other sauces contain modified
food starches, natural flavorings, etc. Therefore, we cannot recommend any of
Kikkman's sauces for your consumption."
