The question of thyroid/celiac has come up before here, and researchers are
finding that a gluten free diet improves autoimmune thyroid symptoms. I have
hypothyroid so I check the about.com site about once a week for updates and
current articles.  I found this which may be of interest to any people on
the east coast. I'm on the west coast so won't be able to attend...although
would love it if someone did and posted notes!

April 2002 -- The next meeting of the Maryland Thyroid Group is Saturday the
20th of April. The speaker will be Victoria Wood, who will speak about "Your
Gut and Your Thyroid."

There is a time change for this meeting, which will take place from 10am to
12pm instead of 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
