To parents of kids on Pediasure:

We just learned that Pediasure has been reformulated and now contains SOY
PROTEIN. Formerly, it did contain soy oil, but I was assured that it did
not contain any form of soy protein. They have made changes, and any
Pediasure labeled "reformulated" will have soy protein in it.

For kids like my little celiac, this is a disaster - Pediasure has been one
of his primary sources of nutrition for two years, and now it is off
limits, as he is highly allergic to soy protein. Our doctor says up to 40%
of celiacs may react to soy protein, so I am sure he is not the only child
affected by this change.

If, like me, you are displeased with the adddition of a major allergen to
Pediasure, please call Ross Labs and let them know: 1-800-986-8505.

Pass this news along to any group that you think might find it helpful.

Maureen
