Dear List:
In the light of that wonderful resolution honoring Dr. Gee, can't we do something to require the drug industry to identify all inactive ingredients in prescribed medications?

Now that we are increasingly reliant on generics and since local pharmacies are at the mercy of distributors who go for the cheapest rather than the most reliable manufacturers it gets harder and harder -- sometimes impossible -- to find out what is in the medications available to us.

My pharmacist claims he does not have access to that information -- can that be true? Even on-line information is not always available, especially when the pill is made in India, for example.

Can't we start a movement in Congress to require accurate labelling here as it is now required in food?
