Thanks to everyone who responded.  Most of the responses were to say that
folks had a positive experience with Trader Joe's staff and that they
were well informed.  Unfortunately, no one actually knew the answer :-(

The good news is, that even though I didn't get a good feeling from the
guy in the store, he did call me back with the info today.  RiceUm is NOT
GF since they use barley enzymes.  Guess we'll have to find something
different.
