In reply to JoAnn Sprung's message about whether ensure and others
are gluten-free:
 
Most companies do say that the over-the-counter drinks are gluten-
free.  Most of them are also lactose-free (just trace amounts of
lactose) but are not milk-protein free. Ensure, Ensure Plus, Boost,
Equate, Sustical, and Glucerna, and Choice DM (geared toward
diabetics) are all advertised gluten-free by the company
representatives.  The Houston chapter's newsletter will have a report
in the next issue coming out within ten days.  I hope this helps.
