Recently, Chris <[log in to unmask]> summarized two replies she got
to her question about the GF status of Skittles. I think it is
important to point something out however: Chris is from Canada, and the
replies she got were from the USA and from Ireland! As soon as you
cross country boundaries, all bets are off as to the ingredients in a
product. They might be the same; then again, they might not be.

With a chewy, fruit-flavored candy like Skittles, it is quite likely to
be gluten-free wherever it is sold, though I'd still scan the ingredient
list to make sure. But let this be another reminder to also take the
country of origin into account when you receive product information from
someone. As we've learned with Corn Pops, the country in which a
product is sold DOES matter.
