I am a diagnosed celiac. I have a sister has never been tested, since she
has never suffered from the "classical" intestinal symptoms. However, and
more urgently, she suffers from severe depression, fibromyalgia, migraines,
and has had several major suicide attempts bordering on schizophrenia. My
question is if anyone in the list knows if these psychological disorders
could be attributed to untreated celiac. I am trying to convince her to get
tested but she feels she needs probable cause for a doctor to take her
seriously.

If anyone knows of a doctor familiar with celiac in the Eugene, Oregon area,
I would greatly appreciate the name of someone to recommend to her. She is
getting very serious and I am very worried.

Thank you,
