I'd like to thank Linda, Pete in Cambidge MA, Pete in NYC, Janet on Modesto
CA, Susan in Las Cruces NM, David in Blacksburg VA, and Laurie - for all the
wonderful ideas and tips about my trip to Albuquerque. You folks are great!
I had a wonderful time, even though time was limited because of my conference.

Following is a brief overview of what people told me.

Health Food Stores: 2 Wild Oats Markets, La Montanita (or Manzanita) Food
Co-op, Keller Farms.

Restaurants: Yanni's (near U of NM), Taco Bell (tacos), Los Quintas (there
are 2 - 'not to be missed'), Boston Market, Pasquales (in Santa Fe), M & J
Sanitary Tortilla Factory, Gardunos (there are 2 or 3).

I ate at a place named the Avalon, right on Central Avenue. They were very
accomodating - it was kind of fancy, but not too pricey, and the food was
terrific. We also ate at the High Noon in Old Town - ditto. We found the
native food to be very easily adapted to a gf diet, and very delicious! Much
different from what we usually eat in the Northeast - I noticed the difference
the first day when they served green chili with my scrambled eggs!

Someone also reminded me that the CSA conference will be in Albuquerque in
2000. I know that all of you who are able to attend will find lots of tasty,
nutritious gf food there - the restaurant staff are really helpful too.

Feel free to e-mail me if you have any other questions about ABQ or Santa Fe!
