Ok here i go...... for starters, just about everyone said to buy the
walgreens brand of benedryl. They said it was GF..

One person stated that they had to stop using it when they added lactose to
the walgreens benedryl.

One person stated that you cannot have a gluten reaction to touching it.

I had 18 people state that they are topically sensitive to gluten.

I had one person upset that i was relating this to celiacs. This is one of
the statements they made - "Do not make mistake of linking everything to
celiac." Well with the fact that my son is a celiac, until i am more
knowledgeable in the subject, i am going to believe that it is related.
Sorry if people feel that i am wrong. And if I have to post more
questions, then I will try to post to an allergy one of these things
instead. Or just not ask!

Update: This rash with my son bothered me so I figured I would do a repeat
of the day before to see if I could find the trigger. The rash he had was
still there, just not red. So I fixed the same lunch and waited to see.
By the time we went for our appointment with the pediatrician, he had again
regained this rash... Not as bad as the first time, but the doctor said it
definately was an ALLERGIC REACTION. Not Viral..... The doctor started
him on steroids, since he does have severe asthma, and to help with the
reaction. We are going to the GI doctor tom, and he will look at him and
let me know whether another visit to the allergist will help or not. Just
to let everyone know, he had eaten a chinese type rice noodle, with a soy
based sauce.... it was all gf, so the doctor is suggesting a possible
allergy to soy or rice.

I hope i am getting better at the summary thing and hope this is good
enough. Thanks to all for their responses, as this will probably be my last
post.
