This message is really just a reminder of how we need to be careful in
our inquiries of manufacturers. I have made a few mistakes in trusting
people. The hard part is sometimes the person you talk to sounds so
knowledgeable. I wrote to this local company, Thumann's and I want to
share their response with you.

This is what I wrote:

This is what they wrote:

Dear Sidona,

Thank you for your recent email. Thumann's meats are gluten-free. Certain
products use spice combinations which contain wheat(glazed hams, roast beef
or anything with a coating), however, we assure you that these mixtures do
not contain gluten.

Sincerely,

Sonia Burke,
Director of Public Relations
