Hi Everyone

I have a question re weight gain and what to expect now that I am gluten
free. I was diagnosed 2 months ago (confirmed by biopsy) after I was
seriously ill (diarrhea so bad I lost 25 lbs in 2 weeks and was hospitalized
for a week on IV). Now that I am gluten-free, I feel better than I have in
a very long time, and have more energy and have become much more active
again.

The problem is that I seem to be gaining weight very rapidly (I am already
about 5 lbs heavier than my "normal" weight) and I am concerned that this is
going to go on.

Is this a normal phenomena of this disease and will everything eventually
stabilize? I am swimming 3 miles a week and eating 3 healthy meals a day
and I feel like all I have to do is look at food and I gain weight.
I have been watching the list closely, and haven't seen this problem
mentioned yet, so thought I would ask. Thanks so much - any suggestions
would be appreciated.
Gail
