Hi everyone,
A while back I wrote a post asking if anyone had experience with
refractory sprue. At the time it was just a slight possibility. It has
unfortunately become an disheartening and very frightening reality. At the time, someone
wrote me an e-mail and said that she might be able to help me. If you are
reading this, could you please write to me? I'd really like some input. I am having
one more biopsy on the 3rd before any treatments are started. I haven't
discussed it with my doctor, but do you think that it would be worthwhile or
feasible to try a feeding tube or something of that nature? The thought of steroids
and immune suppresants is not very appealing to me and I worry about the long
term affects of these drugs.
I welcome input. (It is usually all positive, but sometimes it's not, so
please.... I can't handle anymore negativity)
Thanks
Jill
