My question concerns celiacs and skin problems. How many celiacs have skin
problems such as eczema and rashes, and not just DH? I have been diagnosed
with atopic/contact/allergic dermatitis and prescribed every cortisone cream
on the market. Nothing works. The steroid creams even make it worse
sometimes. I suspect I have DH also, but I had been gluten free for 6 months,
and my biopsy came back negative. Since the blisters show up rarely, weekends
and night time, I haven't tried a second biopsy. So I guess my frantic
question is; HOW DO I STOP ITCHING?? (My doctor won't give me the Dapsone
without a positive biopsy. I would really like to wear short sleeves and not
have to explain the dry patches and scars on my arms. I would be glad to
summarize comments and helpful suggestions for everyone.
