For those not watching CNN this morning.

A low fat version of milk will be available this fall. It will contain an
ingredient called REPLACE added to lowfat milk. This additive according to
the report is made from oat flour. The formal announcement is today in
Washington.

My bigest concern with this ingredient which will likely be labeled or
highlighted because of its reduced fat contents is its potential use as a
secondary ingredient in products. We now have a new nebulous ingredient.
The only saving grace about this product is that it costs 21 percent more
than nofat milk.

I will collect replies on this subject and when additonal details are
available, I will submit a summary.
