Is there really a gluten free beer?

I posted this question a week ago, and received quite a number of
responses. I had my fingers crossed in hopes of positive results.
Unfortunately to my dismay I have not found a commercially made beer that
is gluten free. The best lead we had was Sapporo beer.

I have received e-mail from Sapporo Breweries ltd. Overseas Division
claiming their beer is made from barley malt, hops, rice, and star. The
e-mail goes further by stating barley malt takes up more than 2/3 of the
whole ingredients. If you would like their e-mail address I will send it
to you.

The only Gluten free beer I found was a recipe to make it yourself. I
have not tried to make it, however anyone wishing to try, can find the
recipe at

Thanks for all your responses
