The experiences I have had with airlines and their "so-called" gluten
free food offerings have not been good. It is nice that they currently
"try" to make GF offerings, but they missed the mark. Considering the
limited restroom facilities on an airplane, trusting them to provide the
food is risky at best. I brought my own safe food, and had some great
flights. If they should happen to produce actual Gf food, fine, if not I
am not at the mercy of potentially eating food that will make me sick~
especially on longer flights. I asked on this list about other's
experience with airline food this summer & the majority of responses
were that most airlines USA & abroad, were disappointing.

When you consider many hospitals with resident dieticians often fail to
produce Gf meals, it is no wonder airlines have failed to produce GF
meals.

I'll keep trying to order GF when flying...... but I'm still bringing my
own!
