Hello everybody!

Sorry it has taken me to long to summarize. It has been crazy with the
holiday's!

I want to thank everybody for their responses. Ten people responded and said
it was GF and they have no problems with it. The web site can't guarantee
that it is GF. I have a copy of it below.

From the Woodchuck web page:

This is not an uncommon question for us to receive. Bottom line: we cannot
guarantee that Woodchuck is a gluten-free product. Here's the long answer,
though, for you...

Green Mountain Cidery produces Woodchuck without consciously adding any
component that contains wheat, grain, etc. and would otherwise be
classified as gluten-free. The problem is that we purchase materials to
produce Woodchuck that come from other vendors (such as caramel sugar used
in the Dark & Dry).

Since we only specify the component's end specifications (sweetness,
density, pH, etc.) and not the method of manufacturing the component, there
is a slight potential that items such as the caramel sugar might be made
containing gluten. We don't know. Our vendors say they don't think their
items contain gluten but even they buy raw materials from other vendors,
and so forth...

Bottom line (again) is that, while we think there is little or no risk, the
issue is one of liability on our part and your health on your part. You'll
have to decide what to do about drinking Woodchuck.

Thanks again! I will be toasting the New Year's with a Woodchuck Cider!

Stacey
