Two follow up emails from my earlier post regarding whether a couple of medications are gluten free that I thought were worth sharing.

The first is about the man who I consider a hero in our community -- the person who started and maintains glutenfreedrugs.com:
The person behind glutenfreedrugs.com is Steve Plogsted. He is a pharmacist at Nationwide Children's Hospital, Columbus, OH. Steve is a very humble, down-to-earth kind of guy; he does all this effort for the celiac community, on his own time and nickel.

The second is good advice for checking up on whether a drug is gluten-free:
This site lists ingredients of the generics by manufacturer. http://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/
There is a list of g.f. excipents at www.glutenfreedrugs.com to figure ous what the safe fillers are.

Thanks, everyone!
