I could use some help. I am a biopsy diagnosed celiac for 27 years. I have been completely gluten free for all these years. I have a new problem. My scalp is very itchy. It is not red and not flaky. Not DH. Just really itchy. I have been dyeing my hair for many years. A few weeks ago I noticed it burned when I used an inexpensive over the counter dye. After that it has been itching all the time. My hairdresser said a lot of dyes have wheat in them. Because of that I thought I knew what was causing it but then I read having Diabetes could cause this. I am also a Type 1 Diabetic.

I would appreciate any help. i will summarize.
