My 14 year old daughter has been swimming competitively for the last 4
years. As she progresses nutrition becomes more and more important.

Obviously, the normal high carb foods that other swimmers consume are not
an option for us.

When my youngest daughter was biopsied last month the doctor indicated
that the newest findings now say that oats is acceptable... this gives us
the option of eating Power Bars but my daughter can't get by the
taste/texture.

If anyone on the list also participates in competitive swimming,
track, ..etc activites that "carbo-load" I'd like to hear what you eat for
your pre-race meal and in between events.
