Since there have been several questions regarding Stonyfield Farm yogurt
recently, I will pass along the following good news!

I wrote to S. Farm in June and received the following response (which I
had been intending to post to the list, but have not gotten around to
doing): "...all of our refrigerated and frozen yogurts are gluten-free.
However, we do have two ice cream flavors (strawberry cheesecake and
mocha fudge biscotti) which contain wheat and should be avoided. The
natural flavorings we use in our products are also gluten-free. If you
have any other questions please call Laura Neville in consumer relations
at 1-800-776-2697." The letter is dated June 30, 1997.

I did call and speak with Laura and she seemed very knowledgeable about
gluten and mentioned that S.Farm has been working with CSA and trying to
develop a GF symbol to put on their label. They are also trying to use
only "organic" ingredients in their products.

I hope you are as happy about all of this information as I am!
