Several weeks ago a question was posed to list
participants about what possible Celiac reactions were
experienced when shopping in Hallmark stores. As an
Expressions from Hallmark employee, I found this
interesting and sent an e-mail to our corporste office.

The following is their rsponse.

Hi Carolyn,

Thanks for your note.

We apologize for the delay. Due to research it's taking longer for us to
get back to you.

Our product quality/product safety staff does not believe that we have
any gluten in our adhesives. Although gluten used to be present in some
coated paper stock, they do not believe it is present any longer. They
do not know of any other product we make that might contain gluten.
However, the lack of gluten in Hallmark products does not mean that
there is not gluten in Hallmark stores. Given the large amount of
allied and non-allied, non-Hallmark products, it is very possible that
some other product in a Hallmark store may contain gluten.

Let me know if I can do anything else for you.

Thanks,

Jan Scott
