I just got verbal confirmation with written confirmation
to follow that Tums regular strength antacid/calcium
supplement tablets are gluten-free.

I spoke with Laura in consumer affairs (1-800-245-1040)
and it took her 2 days to research it. The company is:

SmithKline Beecham Consumer Healthcare, L.P.
Pittsburgh, PA 15230 USA

The ingredients are:
Sucrose, Starch, Talc, Mineral Oil,
Flavor, Sodium Polyphosphate.

Laura says the starch is corn based and the flavor is
NOT grain-alcohol based.

They do not test for gluten or label "gluten free" however,
so this is one of the many "ingredient-based" gluten free
claims, but better than many other manufacturers.
