In response to my summary re: gf gelatin, several of you have set me
straight on the vegetarian alternative to gelatin (thank you!). As I
mentioned in the previous message gelatin is derived from animal products.
The following message from Gwyn basically sums up the vegetarian
alternative. thanks to all who responded.

"Agar Agar flakes are used as gelatin by people who wish to avoid animal
products.  They are derived from sea vegetables, are gluten free, and
have much better firming than pectin." bon apetite! (pardon the pun)
