Thanks to all who responded. I included the homemade recipe because it
sounds good. Maybe it's just my sensitive system...others seem to eat
them without problems. Rhonda J. in Spokane

The Dryers bars and sorbet ARE Gf but BEWARE! I believe they contain
lots of guar gum which works like a laxative. (Works for me.)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Both bars are loaded with sugar which feed and multiply the bad bacteria in
the intestines, causing overgrowth and possible damage to the villi. I make
my own by pureeing fruit and adding honey or sugar-free juice and freezing.
My favorite is our yogurt bars. I make them with homemade lactose free
yogurt (ferminted over 24 hours), pureed fruit of choice, honey, vanilla or
almond extract, dash of salt . . . pour into small containers ( I use my old
recycled commercial yogurt cups) and freeze. You can take one out, pop in
the microwave for 1 min. or less to soften. It's gluten free, lactose free,
sugar free, healthy, and SAFE and delicious!!! It's also less expensive. I
recently purchased a frozen yogurt machine and put the same ingredients in
and in 20 minutes we have wonderful creamy frozen yogurt.

We eat the Edy's frozen fruit bars ("Dreyer's" is called "Edy's"
in the midwest) all the time without problems.

My son (11-GF) loves and eats the lime frozen fruit bars with now
noticeable problem (yet). I on the other hand have tried the lime,
wildberry and strawberry. I seem to remember, with the wildberry ones,
having a mood swing reaction and very tired feeling. I was never sure if
it was them or not but haven't touched them since and now after your
post I will never try again.
