Thank you for all the responses for l-glutamine.
 
2 said they did not get much benefit from it
1 said they take 1000mg 2X a day with great improvement in their gut
1 takes 1000mg a day but used to take 30 g a day prescribed by an oncologist for peripheral neuropathy
1 takes 30g a day in 2 doses for small intestine damage
1 takes 1 tsp in water a half hour before meals and it has really helped heal the gut
1 said that it soothed their digestive tract and they had no stomach issues at all
1 said that they were unable to tolerate rice but after taking L-glutamine for a month can tolerate rice again
